Professor Rodrigo Abente, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, is more than an instructor — he is a true mentor both on and off the mats.
With years of experience in teaching and practicing the gentle art, Rodrigo’s mission is to shape not only Jiu-Jitsu practitioners but also athletes and competitors who are prepared to face challenges in every area of life.
His methodology focuses on the student’s complete development, combining technique, strategy, and a winning mindset. Rodrigo believes that every training session is an opportunity for growth — whether it’s a child taking their first steps in Jiu-Jitsu or an adult looking to refine their competitive game.
Under his leadership, Team Cruz Carapicuíba/Vila Dirce has become a center of excellence, discovering talent and encouraging students to compete in local, regional, and national tournaments. More than results, Rodrigo values the process: every victory starts on the mat, with discipline, consistency, and daily perseverance.
